Australia, especially Victoria, is struggling with electric motorcycles posing as e-bikes and cheap poorly-regulated components spontaneously catching fire. It has led to e-bikes being banned in public transport and calls to COMPLETELY BAN E-BIKES.

Police in Australia do not have the ability to enforce the laws that distinguish e-bikes from motorcycles. Let's hope that we see an improvement in enforcement and import regulations instead of more bans on e-bikes.
