Drysdale Ave Park Access Upgrade
Removing old bollards that were hindering people's access.

Back in August 2024 I took a hard look at these barriers at the entrance of Drysdale Ave park in Kingston and learned how they can make access hard for some people.

They didn't even seem to have a good purpose other than blocking cars from entering. The space around them made it easy for motorcycles and many bicycles to get by.
I sent my photos and a detailed explanation of the issues I saw to Kingborough Council and got a great response from the Parks and Reserves managers. Within two days the bollards were replaced and the path cleared of obstructions!

Do you know of some more old bollards that might be worth removing?
