Exciting Expansion for Tarremah Steiner School’s Early Education Facilities
Tarremah Steiner School is expanding with a new Early Childhood Centre, adding to its existing facilities. This modern, nature-inspired space will enhance learning environments for young children, promoting creativity and holistic education in a family-friendly, sustainable setting.
Tarremah Steiner School in Huntingfield is set to expand its already well-established early childhood and pre-school facilities with a brand-new addition. The school has submitted a development application (DA-2024-227) for a new Early Childhood Centre (ECC), complementing its existing early education buildings and enhancing its offerings for the youngest members of its learning community.
This new development will bring an extra layer of support to Tarremah's renowned holistic educational approach. The proposed centre will include a state-of-the-art classroom, cloakroom, dedicated kids’ bathroom, and staff room, providing children with a thoughtfully designed space that encourages creativity, exploration, and growth. The addition of covered verandas will allow children to seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor activities, regardless of the weather.
While Tarremah already boasts a pre-school and an early childhood centre, this expansion will ease the demand for space and give the school more flexibility to cater to growing student numbers. Designed by Perversi-Brooks Architects, the new ECC will align harmoniously with the existing structures while offering modern amenities that reflect the school’s commitment to sustainability, accessibility, and Steiner’s nature-inspired educational philosophy.
With this expansion, Tarremah Steiner School continues to lead the way in creating enriching learning environments for young children, ensuring their first steps in education are filled with joy and wonder.
